Think Design

When we think design, that’s quite a broad topic yeah? But when we look closer at the fine print (which no one actually does!), the categories get specific and one that really captured me was Human-Centered Design.
So designs for people?  In a nutshell? Well yes but …
Human-centered design is basically a more creative approach to solving the many problems that we have as human beings. Think of Human-centered design like a person or a company specifically solving the problems you encounter on a daily .
In a South African context , as much as we have so much to be greatful for , we also endure immense hardships like now they want to increase our electricity by 25% ? Are you actually being serious ? This E-TOLL story , the increase over the last few years with depression in young people as well as in adults as well as safety in this country. We need people like this , people who think for other people and in essence  makes our lives' simpler.
This design brings together functionality as well it's aesthetic look !
Now imagine these minions coming and taking notes on how to improve your life and one’s that are specifically made for you.
I think that is amazing.

It’s holistic and what I’ve come across in my own experience with Design Thinking is that is essentially just continuous progress on continuous progress. It’s always been around, but when I stepped back into the creative space it changed from “ progress” to “ design thinking “, not too shabby I’d say!
It’s doing what you have always been doing, whatever comes naturally to you and taking inspiration from all around you.
USING YOUR HANDS x THINKING ABOUT THE OTHER PERSON x COLLABORATION x HOLISTIC x LASTING x SIMPLE.
Yep, that’s it.
P.s Human-Centered Design has a similar acronym for my course at Varsity.
Human-Centered Design = HCD
Course at Varsity = Higher Certificate in Creative Development = HCCD.
X DISCOVERY.
